Z Axis Microgyro Details

Zmg Imudesign

As today’s vehicles become more sophisticated, more precise sensing is required—in more axes of movement. It’s only natural, then, that the breakthrough MicroGyro®, which boasts a wider dynamic range than its competitors, excels in all three dimensions. For X- and Y-axis sensing, simply position two MicroGyro® units perpendicular to each other on the same PC board; no daughterboard is required. To add Z-axis sensing, just add a third MicroGyro®, using the ingenious perpendicular mount—again, with no daughterboard required.

Having three MicroGyro® units in the same vehicle (and on the same board) opens up a plethora of design possibilities, including the ability to sense all three axes, no matter how the circuit board is oriented. It also translates to superior reliability and savings, since there’s no need for complex and expensive additional cable-runs or compensation circuitry. That’s because each MicroGyro® is designed to perform clear up to 125 C, and is also custom-calibrated, right at the factory.
